A (very) brief Dues Renewal dashboard primer

Release 28 contains an entirely new feature in AM.NET: dashboards.

Our first dashboard—the Dues Renewal dashboard—summarizes data based on groupings that you select. For example, let’s say you want to view all dues amounts billed and paid for each year. Simply drop these four fields into the header above the grid: Billed ($), Paid ($), Collection (%), and Year. AM.NET recognizes these fields and arranges the summary data by the field inserted to the left of the grid (in this case, chapter).

Note that the above configuration is the default; AM.NET displays this data when the dashboard opens. However, let’s say you want to view these figures grouped by age. Simply drag the “Age” field into the header above the grid. AM.NET groups the data for each age group within each year.

To see a visualization of this data, select the Visualization tab. AM.NET offers several visualization options, including line, bar, and pie charts.

We will post more about this powerful new feature later, but we hope this brief introduction will get you started. Open it up and experiment.

Finally, please note that we still consider dashboards a beta feature. We continue to fine tune the user interface, look for bugs, and seek user input. So, if you have any comments, suggestions, criticisms or any other input, please let us know.
